Photographer's Bio
Jeremy Woodhouse
Jeremy Woodhouse is an outdoor photographer, based in Dallas, Texas since 1994. He spends much of each year on the road, photographing travel-based images including landscapes, cityscapes and wildlife. Since 2005 he has been running photo tours to destinations including Japan, Italy, Guatemala, India & Mexico.
He worked as a freelance graphic designer in the UK, South Africa, and the US before he began living his dream of being a full-time professional stock photographer in 1998. Whether photographing a herd of elephants at a waterhole in Botswana, or capturing the last light as it falls on the Tokyo skyline, Jeremy brings his designer’s eye to the composition and creation of all his images.
Jeremy’s photos have appeared in print all over the world. He has received numerous international awards in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition, and was overall winner of the 2002 Nature’s Best International Photography Awards.
His images have been included in exhibitions at the Smithsonian in Washington DC, the Dallas Museum of Natural History, and the Natural History Museum in London.
Jeremy has three books to his credit; Texas Impressions, a collaboration with Texas photographer Richard Reynolds, the recently published Dallas Impressions, and a self-published coffee table book, La Luz del Pueblo, Discovering a Sense of Place in San Miguel de Allende.
His work is represented by many major stock agencies, and he an owner of the stock photography content development company, Blend Images.
Sun to Moon Gallery has collaborated with Jeremy since 2003 on projects and hosted several exhibitions of his work.
Jeremy is a member of the North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA) and is on the Advisory Board of Nature’s Best Magazine.
